LIGHT A CANDLE FOR THE LOST PALESTINIAN LIVES IN FRONT OF TURKU’S CATHEDRAL, SUNDAY 10.12., 17-18H

After the break of a week-long pause in the war, Israel has resumed the bombing of Gaza. The occupation army is now attempting to forcefully displace the Palestinians from Khan Younis and continue its genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Gaza Strip. The daily rate of casualties since the resumption of the bombings has been much higher than before, with as many as 700 people murdered per day. Israel’s barbarous offensive has claimed the lives of over 15000 Palestinians, almost half of them children. All of this happens with the complicity of our rulers, right before our eyes, as we’re able to follow massacre after massacre, in real time.

Sunday December 10th at 17-18 we gather in front of Turku’s Cathedral to mourn and remember all those fallen victims of Israeli violence in Gaza and the West Bank. Come join us, bring a candle, your friends, and your communities for a peaceful moment of remembrance and grief. 

SYTYTÄ KYNTTILÄ SURMATTUJEN PALESTIINALAISTEN MUISTOKSI

TURUN TUOMIKIRKON EDESSÄ SU 10.12., KLO 17–18

Israel on jatkanut Gazan pommittamista viikon mittaisen tauon jälkeen. Miehitysarmeija yrittää nyt pakkosiirtää palestiinalaiset Khan Younisista ja jatkaa kansanmurhaa sekä etnistä puhdistusta Gazan alueella. Pommi-iskujen uudelleen alkamisen jälkeen uhrien päivittäinen määrä on ollut paljon aiempaa korkeampi, jopa 700 murhattua ihmistä päivässä. Israelin barbaarinen hyökkäys on vaatinut yli 15 000 palestiinalaisen hengen, joista lähes puolet on lapsia. Kaikki tämä tapahtuu hallitsijoidemme osallisuudesta, aivan silmiemme edessä, samalla kun voimme seurata joukkomurhaa verilöyly toisensa jälkeen reaaliajassa.

Sunnuntaina 10.12. klo 17–18 kokoonnumme Turun tuomiokirkon eteen suremaan ja muistamaan kaikkia Israelin väkivallan uhreja Gazassa ja Länsirannalla. Tule mukaan, tuo kynttilä, ystäväsi ja yhteisösi rauhalliseen muiston ja surun hetkeen.
